FAQ’s and TIPS - SENTRAL PARENT PORTAL


Thank you to the families who have registered for the SENTRAL PARENT PORTAL. We have over 300 families registered which is almost half of the families at BHNPS. 

REMEMBER THAT YOU NEED TO REGISTER FOR THE PARENT PORTAL IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR CHILD’S REPORT ONLINE AT THE END OF THE TERM.

Below are tips for addressing some of the issues identified when signing up to the portal.


HOW TO REGISTER

The Sentral parent portal can be accessed to via any web browser. 

  1. To register please visit: https://web1.baulkhamn-p.schools.nsw.edu.au/portal/register

  2. Click on ‘Register’ and create an account using a valid email address. 

  3. When you have registered your details for the portal select the option ‘Register the APP’ if it is offered. This will ensure registering to the app is a simple process.


IF YOU CANNOT SEE YOUR STUDENT DETAILS IN THE SENTRAL PORTAL – LINK YOUR ACCESS KEY

  1. Go to ‘MY ACCESS’ in the left hand menu of the parent portal

  2. Click on the blue button to add an access key

  3. Enter your access key as per the letter sent home with your eldest student. Remember that the access key is case sensitive.


HOW TO LINK THE APP TO YOUR FAMILY 

If your app is not linked to the portal the screen will be blank. To check that if your app is linked click on the three white lines at the top left of your app screen. If the 'portal' and 'contact school' buttons are visible you are linked. If they are not please follow the following steps.

Please use the same password for registering to the portal on your web browser as you do when creating a password for the Sentral app on your device.

  1. Make sure you have registered to the parent portal on any web browser

  2. Install the Sentral app on your device

  3. Register to the app using the same email and the SAME PASSWORD as used when signing into the portal

  4. Return to the portal in your web browser and click on ‘MY ACCESS’ in the left hand menu.

  5. If your app is not linked to your portal it will have a red button that says ‘Click to Configure App Access' - Click on this red button

  6. You will now have an option to enter a password, enter THE SAME PASSWORD as you use to access the portal and the app. 

  7. You should now have a green button that says ‘App Linked’  

  8. You may need to wait for a period of approximately 15 minutes after downloading the app before linking it to your portal account.


IF YOU CANNOT LOGIN TO YOUR APP

  1. Login to the Parent Portal in any web browser

  2. Go to ‘MY DETAILS’ in the left hand menu of the parent portal

  3. Click on ‘View Details’ in the ‘My access’ section

  4. Click on the option to ‘resend activation email’

  5. Go to your email inbox and follow instructions in the Sentral email to activate the app account


PROBLEMS AND SUPPORT

If you have any problems registering with the portal or linking the app please, contact the school and someone will be available to help you. 

Registration to the portal can be complicated so please do not hesitate to contact the school if you are having any problems.
